Opposition Members of Parliament walked out of Parliament a short while ago after a testy exchange between government MP for St Andrew North Central, Karl Samuda and Opposition MP for Central Manchester, Peter Bunting.
They were clashing over the handling of reports involving a stakeholder in the education sector who is facing sexual assault allegations.
Mr Samuda is Acting Education Minister and Mr Bunting is his Opposition counterpart.
Mr Samuda then refused to withdraw the comment.
He further accused the entire Opposition party of seeking to undermine the government.
Meanwhile, Opposition Leader, Dr Peter Phillips intervened and demanded that Mr Samuda withdraw the comment and that House Speaker Pearnel Charles reprimand him.
Mr Charles tried to outline the standing orders addressing the issue but he struggled to contain the uproar among the members on both sides of the House.
Shortly after that the Opposition members walked out.
Dr Morais Guy, Central St. Mary MP and before him Karl Samuda, MP for St Andrew North Central.
