No Charge In Garvey Maceo Accident

Charges are yet to be laid against the drivers of two vehicles involved in an accident on Tuesday in Clarendon which injured close to 25 students.
The accident which occurred along the Foga main road in May Pen saw the students of the Garvey Maceo High School receiving multiple injuries including broken limbs.
Personnel from the police’s Corporate Communication Unit has confirmed that the drivers involved in the incident have not been charged.
Reports are that about 9:15 on Tuesday morning, the students were passengers in a Toyato Hiace mini bus, which overturned, after being hit by motor car .
Preliminary information had suggested that the bus transporting the school children, may not have been a legitimate unit, to transport people.
The traffic police have encouraged commuters to take legitimate transport, and drivers to drive with maturity and discipline on the roadways.
